Family fun for all ages! Dance contra, circles and squares to live music hosted by the Flying Turtles String Band in the 1930's recreation hall located on the banks of the Santa Fe River. A caller will guide new and experienced dancers alike through a variety of dances. These are the dances that were the rage in the mid 1800's when the town of Leno thrived! People of all ages and lifestyles, including children, are wecome. Contra dances are a place where people from many walks of life come together to dance and socialize.

Race the Tortoise 5K

This is a certified out and back race for runners and walkers along the park's scenic, paved main road. It starts and finishes near the main parking area which is about 1.5 miles past the Ranger Station at the park's entrance. This race is limited to the first 300 registrants. Prize money and Awards! Awards ceremony and refreshments will be in the dining hall following the race. Age groups run from 0 and under to 75+.

Fees: Until February 15th - $20 / From February 16th to race day - $25 / Age 14 and under $10 at all times
